Chris Sheppard is a specialist in private client work, which includes Wills, Probate, Powers of Attorney and Inheritance Tax planning issues. He also undertakes contentious probate matters where wills or estates are in dispute after a person’s death. As an approved member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP), Chris is a fully qualified Trusts & Estate Practitioner (TEP).

Chris has a particular interest in elderly client matters, his experience includes advising on care fees and the family home, asset preservation, Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection work and acting as a Deputy.

He understands that dealing with the administration of an estate and obtaining a Grant of Probate or a Grant of Letters of Administration can be a daunting and complex task for many people and will assist to ensure all matters are dealt with efficiently and sympathetically.

Chris graduated from Newcastle University with a 2:1 LLB (Hons) before completing the Legal Practice Course with Distinction. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1998.
